You don’t want a Union? Too bad!

2009 October 25
by Brien

This is from SAY NO TO ACORN.  Earlier this month home care workers in Illinois voted down joining a union.  They were even under pressure of Union thug tactics due to our fine Governor passing an executive order 09-15 giving the state the right to pass along personal information to the unions.  This opened the door to who knows what kind of pressuring and assault on the workers trying to force them to vote yes.

It seems even though the workers voted down the union, Governor Quinn can still send state money straight to the Unions even though they workers turned down the offer.

Other states are forcing unions down the state workers throats.  Maryland is trying to force state workers into a Union.  Article is HERE.  This is nothing more than the politicians that are in the pocket of SEIU and other unions paying back for all the donations they have received.

The Health “Vapor” bill – Smoke and Mirrors

2009 October 24

All these months of debate and committee and all we get is an outline of a bill.  It has passed through committee and all we get is an outline?  They get an outline passed through the committees and then the back door writing of the bill gets done?  I don’t think so.  That is not how things are supposed to get done in this country.  Where is the TRANSPARENCY?  We were promised TRANSPARENCY.   Even the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) only had an outline to go by when figuring the costs.  How is that going to be accurate?  Not that any guess at the cost of a bill has ever been close, but this is ridiculous.

If the estimate of cost was $1 trillion for an outline of a plan with no specifics, what do you think the real cost would be when it was done and the sweetheart deals are added to buy the votes needed to pass it?  $10 trillion?  That is probably what we are looking at when this all gets done.   People, I urge you, follow the links to the right that link to you congressman and senators and tell them to vote no to any of this ridiculous bill.

Complete a fraud BBU course recieve a IPOD touch

2009 October 23
by Brien

Wow.  Minneapolis residents can complete a farce of a BBU (Broadband University) course and receive a free Laptop or IPOD touch under their planned use for the billions in stimulus money to expand broadband in the United States.

Boy, sounds like some stimulus to me.  Do you get a government grant for the course? (sarcasm)  Glad to see all of our tax dollars going to waste on this stupid plan.  Thanks Obama.

Obama to appoint SEIU lawyer to NLRB

2009 October 22
by Brien

Obama wants to appoint a top  lawyer from SEIU to the NLRB (National Labor Relations Board).  Follow the previous link to see what the board oversees.  This guy is radical and believe in things like, all jobs should be unionized and that workers should be required to use unions as their representation.  This removes all negotiation between worker and employer and uses the union as the only go between.  Currently John McCain is blocking the appointment.  How long they can hold out, I’m not sure.   See the article HERE about the blocking of this appointment.

Here is a small clip I dug up on youtube to illustrate what Craig Becker is about.   It is just another step towards socialism and the government controlling labor and wages in the United States.   If he is allowed to keep putting cronies in to positions like this we will slowly lose our country.

Acorn founder Wade Rathke has been known to call Craig Becker a “secret weapon”.  Read HERE.  Wonderful.  Where is Obama digging these people up from?

I urge everyone to follow the link to the right and write to their Representatives and keep people like this out of power.

Look the other way, nothing to see at Fox News

2009 October 22
by Brien

This article from Newsweek is hypocrisyat it’s best.  I love how all the “fringe” media is calling Fox irrelevant, commentary broadcasting.  Funny, I can’t find one article in Newsweek or on their site that isn’t commentary.  In fact I believe it seemed every other week their magazine had Obama on the cover, before the election.   They called him the “one” and every other skewed vision of him you could.

In fact they whole election, including they way they portrayed Palin and the Republican campaign, was so skewed it was sickening.  If you want a good idea of exactly how ridiculous it was for the media fawning over Obama, I suggest watching the video “How Obama Got Elected”.    I ordered it and watched it.  It will definitely open your eyes to what went on during the election.  Hundreds of clips of the MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC and other media coverage of the election.

The video also shows how uninformed the Obama voters were before the election and how their ideas of what the candidates said were changed by the left leaning media coverage.  Very good video and is really worth the time to watch.

CLICK HERE to see the silly article from Newsweek.  Let’s just say it’s the pot calling the kettle black.

Obama “executive pay offensive” Oh really?

2009 October 22
by Brien

Wow that’s funny.  Obama thinks it’s offensive to us that exec’s make big money.  Hmmm.  This policy is written by people that used to be on the boards of big banks or ex-CEO’s of the banks and institutions that he’s talking about.  What about excessive pay for the leaders of SEIU, ACORN and the APOLLO corp?    It’s also nice that they still refuse to tell us what banks got the bailout money and where it all went.  So much for transparency.  Thanks for keeping all your campain promises.  Tim “the tax cheat” Geithner was president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  Let’s see….  $398,000 a year salary.  The guy didn’t even pay his taxes

Now Kenneth Feinberg the “pay czar” wants to extend the limits on pay to all public traded companies that recieve even a nickel of money from the government.  Wonderful.  Earlier this year Barney Frank wanted this extended also to regular employees of the companies also.  Oh wonderful.  Once they do this they will just extend what they consider “government funds”.    Tax breaks, tax refunds, tax credits, subsides.  Whatever they define it as they will use as an excuse to limit pay of everyone to “redistribute” the pay to those they see fit.  Great insentive for the people to work harder.
