Remember when people looked up to the fastest, smartest and best in everything? Remember when Americans competed to become #1? Remember when just trying wasn’t good enough? Where the hell has that drive gone?
We are now a nation that tells our children that it’s ok to fail. It’s ok to be last. We even hand out trophies to people for just participating. What in the hell is that teaching anyone. We have become so worried about hurting someones feelings that some teachers won’t even use red ink on papers anymore. Hell we are so worried about feelings that we are allowing a Mosque to be built on ground zero.
People wake the hell up. This is America. We don’t settle for second best. We want to be and are still the best. Against every progressive desire, we still are on top. For how much longer? Not very long if we don’t right this ship now!
The country can not pull out of this depression because there is too much uncertainty. Hell the administration is changing the rules every 2 minutes. There is no way to plan when you don’t know the rules or how the game is going to go. How is a business supposed to hire and expand when they don’t know what rules are going to be imposed by our idiotic government.
We have become complacent. We sit around and expect someone in the government to help us when there is a problem. We look for handouts from the government instead of rolling up our sleeves and attacking the problem head on. We expect there always to be a quick way to the finish. No one is willing to put in the hard work and pay the dues that are needed to succeed. Our children are coming out of school and expecting high class jobs right off the starting line.
We allow people to spend themselves into oblivion and then blame the banks or big business for being “predatory”. There is no responsibility on the people themselves. They are bailed out, bought out and held by the hand like little children. The government tells everyone that they are too stupid to make a decision, too stupid to know the best way to spend their money, too stupid to watch out for their own well being. Well sorry Congress, but we are smart enough. We don’t need you running our lives.
Every day we are bombarded by shows on T.V. that are bent on distracting us from the real issues. People are more worried about who’s going to be Paris’s next BFF or who is voted out of American Idol. We sit and are told by people like OPRAH which foods to eat, which books to read. We run around like robots and never question anything the media tells us.
We put ourselves into debt so we can have the latest IPHONE, IPAD, Car, flat screen tv, game system. Then we want to blame the banks for burying us under a credit load we can’t afford. The “evil banks” and their high interest that we can’t even afford to pay the minimum payment. No one made people purchase items on credit.
I want the America that once strived to be #1. The America that didn’t apologize for being the best. The America that had values. The America that relied on neighbors generosity in times of need and not some government check to come in the mail.
You hear people saying “well it’s about time that they taxed the rich oil companies” or “rich business men”. Well guess what, they do not just eat the higher taxes. This gets passed on down to the population on every level in higher costs on goods and services. So guess who really pays the higher costs. You and me. They use class warfare to convince you that they are making the “evil” rich pay. Well they are the ones that pass the costs on to us or do not hire you for a job.
Guess who would have the power if you got to keep most of your money. YOU! The government wouldn’t be able to hold it over your head and threaten to cut services or SS or welfare. There wouldn’t be any of these. You would be reliant on yourself and your friends. You would appreciate the money more because you would have had to work for it. YOU would get a say where your money was spent because YOU would control it. We wouldn’t have to worry about it going overseas for aid, bailouts, pork projects to buy votes because YOU would have the money and not them.
Think it through. It might be a little scary relying on yourself, but think how scary it is when the government has all the power and money.

I just got back from a wonderful trip to Disney World. I took a tour of the Walt Disney history exhibit there. In doing so I realized that if Walt had lived in any other country besides the United States that we would not have anything Disney.
It was the wonderful free market and capitalist drive that gave us the wonders of Disney. This one man dreamed of a future of invention and innovation. This dream was born from the freedoms we have here in America. Without the freedoms we have there would be no invention, innovation.
We are slowly losing these freedoms and along with it will go the innovation and invention that has kept America ahead of the rest of the world. We will lose our edge of technology that has granted us the highest standard of living in the world with the greatest freedoms.
We are slowly becoming a 3rd world country where every citizen has become dependant on the government for everything. Our lives are completely regulated and we are becoming bound by endless rules that prohibit any free ideas.
We allow a dictator like administration to dictate the path of our lives. They tell us more and more what to wear, drink, eat, sleep and buy. They tell us how to vote. They buy out the news media to push their ideology onto a blind America.
We sit by while the administratin pays off unions with a 23 billion bailout while there is no plan in place to keep it from happening again. They throw money at problems with no solution for cause.
Wake up America. Vote out the idiots now before we cross the line of no return.

The new “climate bill”, um scratch that, “cap and trade”, ummm no people are on to that….Lets see what would work? “American Power Act” oh that sounds so much better. Nobody will connect the dots. They even came up with a new logo that looks patriotic and looks like the flag. Wow…I’m so warm inside now. It will of course create jobs just like in Europe where similar things have cost 2 jobs for every one made. Wow what a bargain.
Lets see lets this of course means “JOBS”. Oh yes always throw out how this will create jobs…not only jobs but “GREEN JOBS”. Oh yeah. Look at Europe and you will see that everywhere they have tried this you on average create one job while doing away with 2. Net loss sounds like a great boost to our unemployment.
Oh and Kerry throws in “NEW ECONOMY”. What in the hell are they talking about? It creates jobs that can’t be shipped over seas. Oh really? Why, because they can’t make windmills and solar panels in China, Korea or India? Hmmm. They already are you idiot. Billions have already gone to China and India from our stimulus to buy wind generators and solar panels. Morons.
The money raised will be “refunded” back to Americans. How? Subsides to the poor to offset the higher costs. REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH!! HELLO!!

Be sure to read all the wonderful comments HERE about how great the bill is. I mean people like GE and T Boone Pickens are on board. I wonder why? Maybe because they have everything to lose if this doesn’t pass. GE has millions invested and is the biggest wind generator company there is and T Boone invested a ton and lost on the last election on wind farms. WOW, Harry Reid is on in on this too. Makes me feel safe. Read through the list and notice all the people that think it’s great have all their cards on the table for this disaster.

For 47% of Americans tax day means little as they owe nothing or actually make a profit from the tax system. According to the article found HERE a family of four making $50,000 a year can actually pay nothing. You say great? Well think of this, if you have a system where the majority get something for nothing they will vote for and continue a government that is buried under huge debt and entitlements that we can not sustain.
The government in 2009 will redistribute $109 billion in tax dollars, taking from the tax payer “rich” and giving it to those who pay nothing “poor”. Be it through tax credits, EIC or rebates. The people paying the most get nothing for their hard work except to pay into a system that hands it out to the “underprivileged”. When too many are on the dole there will be little way to vote in someone that would like to cut spending and we start a quick spiral to untold debt, borrowing and unfunded entitlement programs that will quickly become bankrupt.
There will be little chance of getting true conservatives in to cut spending and entitlements because they will need the votes of the people paying nothing and getting benefits. It is pretty easy to vote in spending programs and get the people behind you when your fellow citizen is footing the bill. Why would they care if you or I pay the bill as long as they receive benefits.
It will be hard to convince people that it is in their best interests to cut these huge entitlement programs for the benefit of the nation when they pay nothing in. The majority will not care if the government is fiscally responsible when they have no dog in the fight.
We need to change the tax system now and quick. The no going back point of 50% is closing in and there will be little way to reverse it until the country is bankrupt or saddled with more taxes including CAP and Tax or a VAT tax that is now getting serious consideration by the government drunken sailors.
The bleeding heart liberals call this “Social Justice” and turn to the government for so called “charity”. Well charity comes from within and should be a personal choice. I should get to choose who I help with how much and when. The government should not be allowed to take my money and hand it over and then call it charity. Charity has forever been a personal issue and came from the heart of the individual that chooses to help the less fortunate. Forced charity is nothing more than Socialism and always fails.
Make it known that you are tired of this and will not stand for it. Follow the links to the right and write to your congressman, local leaders and make it clear you are done with this system and want change now!

The government wants to mandate that insurance companies insure anyone at anytime they want coverage.
1) This will make it cost more for the average American to gain insurance. Insurance costs are kept down by forcing high risk individuals to higher cost plans. People that have poor health habits (i.e. smoking, drinking, obesity) normally pay higher rates. This will be eliminated by the new health plan. There will be no incentive to actually take responsibility for your own health anymore. The people that don’t care will ride on the backs of people that actually take care of their personal health.
2) The costs will go up because insurance companies will not be allowed to deny coverage due to pre-existing conditions. You could pay the small fine for electing to not have coverage and then when you find out you have to have surgery or find out you have cancer, elect to purchase coverage then. This in effect bypasses the whole idea behind insurance. This would be similar to having a car wreck, then paying for the coverage after the accident.
3) This is all an attempt to drive private insurance out and allow the government to step in and push us all into a government run medical program.
